You bought your kit, and you’re in love. If you’re like me, you found Stress Away to be a gateway oil and now you’re fully, hopelessly, and forevermore addicted to all things essential oils and on a mission to detoxify your home.

Here are some things that we know to be carcinogenic and/or toxic to our bodies, which were on my “get out of my house” list:

Conventional…

  • Laundry detergent, dryer sheets

  • Face wash, moisturizer, makeup

  • Deodorant, toothpaste, perfume, lotion

  • Candles, air fresheners

  • Household cleaners

  • Shampoo, body wash, hand soap

  • Protein powder, vitamins, supplements (weight management, probiotics, etc.)

  • Hand sanitizer, baby lotion

  • Sun protection creams/sprays, bug spray

The versions of these products that are sold in mainstream stores have been linked to several diseases, infertility, and all-around yuckiness. Not things I want hanging around my house, and not things you want hanging around yours.

We’re just about completely finished ridding our house of ALL OF THESE THINGS and replacing them with Young Living products (or in many cases, things we are able to make using Young Living essential oils)! Things that are not only NOT bad for us, but are oh so VERY GOOD for us with a variety of benefits to our health as we use them.

Thanks to ER, each month our home gets one step closer to being toxin-free. It’s a huge comfort to us knowing that we are no longer putting harmful chemicals into the bodies of our children and our own bodies. Our air, bodies, surfaces, dishes, clothes, etc. are all SO much better for us… and that’s something to be excited about!

Bonus… we’re spending WAY less money at Target (Target, we love you… I’m so sorry).

Especially if you are pursuing the business end of YL and are doing your 100 PV each month anyway, doing that 100 PV through ER makes complete sense. It’s a no brainer! Who doesn’t love freebies? (This girl sure does!)

One thing that made transfer buying easier for me was taking a look at my product guide! Young Living has made things pretty easy by breaking up their different product lines so that it’s easy to see what to ditch and switch. You can make categories for yourself and then prioritize what’s at the top of your list for each month’s ER orders!
