ESSENTIAL OILS FOR CLEANING

Graphics - Cleaning.jpg

One major thing you can do to be proactive with your wellness is to switch out toxic cleaners and household products with all natural products. This can be harder than it seems because of greenwashing, which is where companies use certain words to make you THINK they're products are clean when they really aren't. We're super grateful for Young Living's Seed to Seal Promise, which guarantees that are products include only the best ingredients that are safe for our families. Here are a few of our favorites and some ideas for how to use them.

LEMON

  • use a drop to get rid of sticky stuff

  • add a drop or two to stains before washing

  • add a drop to water to clean fruit

THIEVES

  • add a drop to a cotton ball and stick in the vent in your car to clear the air

  • DIY foaming hand soap (with unscented castile soap, vegetable glycerin, and vitamin e)

CITRUS FRESH

  • add a couple drops to a cotton ball and stick in the garbage to get rid of stinky scents

  • make a room spray with water and witch hazel; you can add some Thieves and Lemon too!

  • add a couple drops to a wool dryer ball

OUTSIDE THE PREMIUM STARTER KIT

If you're really serious about ditching the toxins, you're going to love the Thieves Line. It includes Thieves Household Cleaner, Thieves Laundry Soap, Thieves Dish Soap, and Thieves Foaming Hand Soap. The Thieves Household Cleaner is so concentrated that you only need a capful in an 8-16 oz. bottle! It's actually cheaper than buying toxic cleaners from the store because of how many bottles of cleaner you can make! Plus, you can make so many good-for-you DIY cleaning products with the oils in your kit, some baking soda, and Castile soap!

We really encourage you to take some time today to check out some of the ingredients in the products under your sink and think about how you can easily switch them out. Let us know what you're going to try!
